Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of holistic treatment where thin needles are inserted into the body to help alleviate pain. It can treat different conditions such as back pain, arthritis, joint pain, etc. as well as emotional and mental conditions. It is safely done by a trained acupuncturist using clean needle technique and single-use needles.


Massage Therapy

Massage involves manual manipulation of soft tissue of the body. The purpose of massage is to treat pain or stress. There are different types of massage such as deep tissue, relaxation. sports injury, trigger point therapy, prenatal, etc.


Chiropractic

Chiropractor is a combination of art, science and philosophy relating of the ability of the body to heal itself with conservative treatment means to accelerate the process. Chiropractic is used to treat musculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, joint pain, etc.

Michael has served as a registered massage therapist and has been a part of the health industry for over 25 years. He has abundant experience with short-term and chronic injuries such as posture strains, sports injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and life’s general mishaps. Michael’s experience is complemented by his early interest and training in Japanese Meridian Therapies including Shiatsu, Sotai, Japanese Acupuncture, Moxibuston, Reiki, and Anma, all of which Michael still practices, when appropriate. Michael believes strongly in continuing his education through self-study and formal learning. Over the years he has taken countless courses and workshops to enable him to offer a wide variety of and a truly holistic approaches to care.

Michael of course practices all of the current and modern types of massage such as general Swedish, relaxation, deep tissue, and point therapies.

She then continued her education with a diploma in Pedorthics and has now practiced as a Canadian Certified Pedorthist since 2013. She also completed a PhD in neuro-rehabilitation and health sciences (2010), from Brunel University, UK, and has worked as a physiotherapist in various junior and senior posts in Canada, United Kingdom and Kuwait. Tamara graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California in June of 1998. Since graduating, Tamara has been licensed by and is in good standing with the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors.

She has always had a keen interest in sports medicine and biomechanics and has been fortunate enough to work with various teams and athletes of all levels over the course of her career. Some highlights include being a part of host medical services at the Pan Am Games, medical coordinator at the World Track and Field Championships, part of the medical team for the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association, Association of Volleyball Professionals, Ironman triathlons, rodeos, rugby, wrestling and others.

Tamara utilizes ART (Actice Release Techniques), Graston and FAKTR instrument-assisted soft-tissue therapies, shockwave, Kinesio tape and spinal manipulative therapy to optimize patient outcomes and get the best results as efficiently as possible. Her passion for performance and recovery focuses on the body’s ability to move, heal and optimize itself.

He employs a comprehensive approach to patient management by educating patients about the cause of their pain.
